The best programs for learning to play the piano online
Whats a very easy song, to learn on the Piano for a beginner?

I going to take piano lessons soon, but I dont realy know how to play piano so does anyone know some really easy songs for a begginer?
thanks :P

you should really consider buying this book:

http://fjhmusic.com/piano/apianoadventure.htm

most of the songs in it are easy to learn with/without the help of a
piano teacher. the book teaches you all you need to know to begin.

the first real song i learned was "ode to joy" by beethoven.
IMO, it’s easy because you don’t have to cross your hands alot,
and it’s basically up & down movements on the piano.
here’s the link for how it sounds.*

*you do not have to play it as quick as he does.
you can start slow & quicken your pace later.

old kid songs like "camptown races" and "oh susanna" are easy too!
and it’s a good way to start. good luck!

(:

You have my good wishes on playing the piano…the saxophone was hard enough. I looked at the answers and sure can’t add to them. I mess around on the piano a bit with some of those songs but I usually goof them up because I am not around a piano that much and have no real desire to play the piano – I am not coordinated enough to use both hands on the 88 keys.

I might add, try it in different keys (A, B, C, D, F, G are keys)…it is strange how it sounds because you might have to use a sharp or a minor to make it come out right.

It also gives you idea why the middle keys are used most – sort of like typing – but that is not quite the right answer. The reason is that most people like to hear or sing in the middle range, which are the middle keys. The far left are bass while the far right are soprano. They just aren’t used as much.

Any way, best of luck to you!
